Dr Kametas is committed in providing holistic care aiming to cover parent’s medical and emotional needs. From the first visit, the parents will have Dr Kametas’ mobile number to communicate in emergency circumstances and when labour starts. Between 34-36 weeks a detailed discussion on the options of labour and forming of a birth-plan will empower the parents to make decisions about the delivery of the baby.
Throughout labour, Dr Kametas’ presence will provide the same continuity of care as in the antenatal period and will guarantee continuous communication, expert advice and delivery of the baby. Decisions on labour management will be made jointly by the parents and Dr Kametas, based on medical needs and parents’ expectations.
In case of a planned or emergency caesarean section, Dr Kametas will be performing the procedure and ensure close monitoring during hospital stay.
