Not all automated blood pressure machines measure blood pressure accurately during pregnancy. Using an inaccurate device, can worry unnecessarily many mothers and can falsely reassure others who need closer monitoring. Dr Kametas has engaged in long term research to identify which devices are accurate for use in pregnancy and highlight their limitations.
